0cred (for zero credibility / zero credentials) is a hiring platform for technical talent.
We built this project from scratch, working on the concept and the design, then building the entire front and backend. 0cred is a 2-sided market place that allows technical talent to showcase their skills and get hired without the need for traditional credentials and business to save time vetting candidates.

0cred allows devs to customize a public profile with social links, their projects, and custom stickers that are created using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Traditional hiring processes often prioritize credentials over actual ability. We wanted to create a platform where technical talent could showcase their skills and get hired without needing traditional credentials. We started with brainstorming sessions to map out the core problems: how do talented developers prove their worth if they don't have formal credentials to back it up, and how do companies efficiently identify genuine skill.
We used collaborative whiteboarding sessions to explore different approaches to skill validation and portfolio presentation. The wireframing phase involved rapid prototyping of user flows, from candidate onboarding to employer discovery. Our approach to design is development focused. We prefer to design directly in code whenever possible, using Figma only for initial concept validation and stakeholder alignment. This allows us to iterate faster and create more realistic prototypes. Unless client requirements dictate otherwise, we believe that designing in code leads to better solutions.

We crafted a clean, professional aesthetic that appeals to both developers and business stakeholders. The design system uses clean typography, intuitive navigation, and a dual theme approach. Light mode for business users maintains professional credibility, and dark mode for developers provides the familiar coding environment. The interface builds trust with hiring managers while remaining engaging for technical talent.

We built 0cred as a lean two person team, prioritizing speed and efficiency to bring the platform to market quickly. We shipped the entire platform in approximately 4 weeks, from initial concept to production deployment. This was possible through streamlined decision making, clear division of responsibilities, and using proven technologies. We focused on building features rather than wrestling with infrastructure.
